First Step - select a team:

Tapi Papi

Garage Headquarters: Riverside, CA

Driver: Aaron Quesada

Mechanics: Andy Quesada, Josh Quesada

Nuts and Bolts:

Aaron, Andy, and Josh Quesada are brothers from Riverside, California. Growing up, Tapatío hot sauce was practically mother’s milk to them. “We’ve been eating it since we were old enough to shake a bottle – we put Tapatío on everything,” says Aaron, who swears that team isn’t getting kickbacks from the brand. “That’s how it got started. We were looking to come up with something funny and original for our soapbox car, and after kicking around ideas for a week or so, we decided we wanted to see a big bottle of Tapatío rolling down the streets of L.A. Making food taste even better is the primary function of Tapatío, and we believe it can do the same for the Red Bull Soapbox Race!”

At 28 years of age, Aaron is the youngest of the crew. He’s an advertising coordinator for American Suzuki Motorsports and also has some fabrication experience. Josh, 29, and Andy, 31, work as splicers for AT&T. Pieces of the racer are coming together at their respective homes, with final assembly planned for Aaron’s place. (He explains, “I have some killer windy hills by my house – good test sites!”) The teammates will definitely have a loud and proud contingent of ladies at the race to cheer them on – not only do they have three younger sisters, but the brothers are all married…to their high-school sweethearts, no less. Aaron states, “We’re stoked to be a part of this event, and we’re ready to kick some ass!”
