Only one entry at the Red Bull Soapbox Race in Philadelphia will have two professional magicians on their team: the Flying Ninja Monkeys. Justin Vitti and Bill Citino hold down office jobs during the day, but at night and on the weekends – presto chango – they moonlight as magicians. Justin and Bill perform all kinds of magic, though Justin’s favorite is close-up work, while Bill has even written a book on sleight-of-hand magic using coins. Their latest challenge is to get a replica of the Ghostbusters ambulance across the Manayunk finish line first.

This is the kind of act that calls for magicians’ assistants, and Bill and Justin have a tight crew at their side. Mike Ceurton, Bill Holladay, and Tim Rafter are ready and willing to slime any and all opponents on September 6. In fact, they’re so fired up that even though Bill Holladay is a retired motocross/ATV champion, the teammates can’t decide who will be the driver on race day – they all want to take the wheel. “This is an opportunity for our team to show our 100% dedication and competitive natures in dominating everyone else, as well as what we are capable of creating with our genius minds and imaginations,” says Justin, the team’s captain. “It’s also a way for a group of adults to get together and have a whole lot of fun.”
